The MIM-104 Patriot is a surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, the primary of its kind used by the United States Army and several allied nations. It is manufactured by the U.S. defense contractor Raytheon and derives its name from the radar component of the weapon system. The AN/MPQ-53 at the heart of the system is known as the "Phased Array Tracking Radar to Intercept On Target" or the bacronym PATRIOT. The Patriot System replaced the Nike Hercules system as the U.S. Army's primary High to Medium Air Defense (HIMAD) system, and replaced the MIM-23 Hawk system as the U.S. Army's medium tactical air defense system. In addition to these roles, Patriot has been given the function of the U.S. Army's anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system, which is now Patriot's primary mission.

An excellent model that looks great towed by a HEMTT tractor. I would have given it five stars, but attaching the hydraulic actuators in the deployed version is rather challenging.

    Best Patriot launcher out there

Allen, I am thoroughly pleased with the launchers. Detail is great and fills the "hole" in American air defense I've been looking for. My only thought would be the addition of radar/fire control vehicles. Maybe conversion kit or cast? Keep up the fantastic work.

Unique piece for a great price

Excellent product, casting is good with minimal flash and goes together easily. None of the big companies make these and the quality is comparable to the big contenders. And its even on sale. Looks like they go fast so get them while you can. Although when I first saw these they were out of stock and I didn't have to wait long at all.
