One plastic sheet 15cm x 5cm (about 2" x 6") of plenty with Gamer's Grass tufts.
Tufts range between 2mm and 6mm tall.
Just pop-out the tufts from the sheet of plastic and glue them to your models.

Far Better Than Other Brands I've Tried
I've purchased other tuffs, but they seemed to fall apart rather easily, especially when I needed to trim them. Also, they seemed to spread out much more than I wanted, as if someone stepped on them. These hold up well when trimming and the grass blades are more vertical. I am using them for reeds along my river terrain and I am very happy with the way they look.
